Itinerary of 3 Nights Optional Trip to Senegal

March 25, 2004 

Depart JFK New York on Air France Flight AF 009 for Paris at 11:00 p.m. arriving at 11:55+ a.m. local time 

March 26, 2004 

Depart Paris on Air France Flight # AF 718 for Dakar at 4:30 p.m. arriving at 9:25 p.m. local time. You will be met on arrival by staff of Albay Travel Services, assisted and transferred to Meridien President

March 27, 2004

Full day city tour of Dakar, including Independence Place, Presidential Palace, Kermel Market, Sandaga Market, National Assemblee, Dakar University, Soumbedioune Craft Mareket and many other points of interest.  You will have lunch at a traditional restaurant before returning to Meridien President. 

March 28, 2004 

Depart Meridien President at 9:00 a.m. to the Port of Dakar to embark a ferry boat which will transport you to Goree Island. This Island is where some 20 millions Africans from all parts of West Africa were shipped as slaves to the Americas.  Visit the Slave House, Historical Museum, Forts and their Market Place before enjoying your buffet lunch at St. Germaine Restaurant. You will return to Meridien President at about 05:20 p.m.

March 29, 2004 

Transfer to Dakar airport to embark Air Senegal at 08:30 a.m. departing to Cotonou arriving at 2:20 p.m. local time.  You will be met and assisted through immigration and customs at the airport by the staff of Agence Africain du Tourisme, and transferred to Benin Marina for check in. This means you will arrive several hours ahead of the main group.
