VOLUNTEERING OPPORTUNITIES

The program has excellent opportunities for physicians, surgeons, dentists, eye specialists, physiotherapists, nurses, laboratory technicians and paramedics to help underserved communities by offer voluntary services in assisting local doctors and nurses in treating patients with different conditions, especially in the areas of general medicine, accident and emergency, pediatrics, maternity, midwifery, pharmacy, surgery, physiotherapy and nursing, while gaining hands-on medical experience and learning about the history, traditions and culture of the local people.

Your involvement in this process will assist us in promoting cross-cultural dialogue, understanding and solidarity for marginalized populations. The total gain from this process to you will be career development - enhancing your existing skills and adding new ones. It will give you an appreciation and understanding of other people and their cultures. Additionally, you develop valuable contacts which would eventually help you in your professional practice. All adds up to personal gratification and professional fulfillment.

As a volunteer, you will bear all your travel and boarding expenses but will be offered a discount for your participation in the 4-day conference.
