ABSTRACTS

The specific objectives of the conference being among others, to identify traditional medicines and practices used
in the prevention and management of HIV/AIDS, malaria, tuberculosis, cancer, sickle cell, anaemia, diabetes, heart
disease, hypertension, stroke and mental disorders, for further evaluation of safety, efficacy and quality standards,
only presentations supported by facts and evidence will be accepted.
Abstracts and presentations must have three parts (1) an introductory opening offering the scope of a
scientific investigation on a specific disease and the relevant natural therapy identified for prevention and/or
treatment; (2) a body describing the models or approaches applied in the investigation; and (3) a conclusion which
dwells on scientific facts and evidence supporting the findings of the investigation, as well as citations and references
of authorities, wherever necessary.
Participants wishing to present are requested to submit abstracts via email to info@africa-first.com not later than
August 31, 2007. No abstracts will be accepted after this date.
Abstracts must be typewritten in 1.5 line spacing with font of 12-point in size, and not to exceed 500 words in
English language.
The full text of all presentations not exceeding 10 pages each must be received by Africa First, LLC in Microsoft
Word format not later than December 15, 2007 via email to info@africa-first.com. No presentations will be accepted
after this date.
Authors should indicate their full names, addresses, and the organizations they are affiliated with. If a paper relates
to research, they should indicate where the research was conducted.
Participants should also indicate how they intend to make presentations and audio/visual requirements.
